matchboxlive 2017, experiencing fire protection live

Matchboxlive 2017 opened their gates on 01st of june in Gelnhausen to over 450 visitors to experience experiments and tests about fire protection. The organisator hhp Berlin presented over 51 experiments, 17 themed areas, two large scale experiments and other highlights under the topic "tradition meets innovation".

With great echo INOTEC has presented different products from the dynamic escape routing system in live sceneries. Interested in the technology and theory of dynamic guidance, several planners and architects visited our booth to discuss the specific topic and get detailed information.

In a corridor filled with artificial smoke, a guided group of visitors could experience complete disorientation caused by the bad visibility conditions. Standard high mounted Escape sign luminaires could hardly be seen, only with a short distance from it. In comparison, when activating the floor mounted escape routing luminaires a quick and safe exit was much easier. 

Fire protecion is faced to many new challenges because of booming cities and changing living and working conditions. At the same time digitalisation transforms the way planners and rescue forces work. Matchboxlive 2017 showed off, what is possible in the future and how traditional procedures can be sustainable in the future.
